Most wildlife can be seen in the Central Highlands where the Etosha National Park sits.  Just south of Etosha is Damaraland where there are rocky kopjes and desert plains that are stunningly beautiful.

Fish River Canyon, which lies further south, is the second largest canyon in the world and is an incredible destination for kayakers and hikers.

The capital Windhoek has a significant German influence in its architecture as well as the enduring Dutch influence which is ever present in southern Africa.
